QA ENGINEER
Description
At Nutonian we believe strongly that QA is not quality injection, it is quality assurance. We already have substantial automation in place and all our developers write unit and small scale integration tests which run on every check in. We believe this makes us more productive as developers and a company, not an unnecessary burden.
Our core technology, built on academic research, automates finding and explaining statistical models to help businesses make data driven decisions. Our products have over 80,000 installations, and our technology's reach is growing every day. Our team is still small - everyone has a large impact and knows the CEO personally. As with most high performance companies, while we work hard, we also have strong team spirit and sense of family. Working with us will bring you excellent benefits, office perks, regular company meals, and social outings.
The QA Engineer is the gatekeeper of quality within our team here at Nutonian. You will set the standard within the whole group and guarantee we live up to it. Using a mix of manual and automated testing, you will be collaborating with development, design, and management to ensure quality and testability early in the software development process. We are a small agile team working within an exciting start-up atmosphere. Every single person is critical to our success and makes a very valuable contribution to the direction we are headed in. Think you can handle it?
The Job
Manual testing of new development code and reporting on status.
Designing and writing test plans and test cases, in addition to executing them.
Assisting in the scripting and running of automated tests using Selenium and Java.
Assisting with certifying and promoting new releases.
Bug hunting, writing defects and working with developers to prioritize and fix issues.
Managing the test and development environments.
Contribute to an awesome team and amazing product.
Do you have what it takes?
2+ years experience with the testing of web applications.
Familiarity with standard QA practices such as test case writing, regression testing, automated testing, test driven development, etc.
Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment.
QA related certification such as ISTQB a plus.
